Y’all have to remember this is the gateway (temporary) sauna to perhaps what will become the most magical “Löyly” experience on all of Vancouver Island! And YES, I’ve been to Helsinki and swam in the Baltic Sea this month too. WCBH is rustic (for now) but simply ask Steve about his grand vision - and you shall be transported. For our private booking, my GF and I enjoyed the startled stares from the walkers passing by and had great interaction with our bundled up fellow Victorians as we traversed to the beach in our swimsuits for our Harbour Swim. #SkipTheShower a take the plunge. SO refreshing! Of the 8 public Sauna Experiences currently on offer in the Victoria area -THIS is the only one that will get you into the Pacific Ocean. Magical!!!! Yes, it’s Rustic. But that’s the Finnish way. Yes, it could be hotter… and it soon will be. Yes, change rooms are temporary, but plan your outfit accordingly and you’ll be fine. But after my private booking for two, I can’t wait to experience a Socially Fun Friday Night this weekend. Plus, I took myself over to Boom+Batten next door for a 2:30pm Monday lunch during Happy Hour and actually made a new friend. We sat and chatted for 3 hours in the sunny lounge window. What a magical day, Steve. Worth every penny. Treat yourself. Relaxation is NOT a luxury. And this developing sauna experience is going to ensure that Victoria is NOT boring. I just wish I lived closer! See you again in about five days. $25 Saunas… The best price in town!
