GoogleCame here on a rainy morning (7:30) and had the most amazing time. I felt so detached from the outside world and was able to tap into my mind and body. Definitely the best start to my day.
Hidden on Granville Island, this private thermal spa feels like a quietly held secret, where the city slips away the moment you step inside. Circle Wellness Granville Island is designed for contrast therapy and the Nordic circuit, moving from the cedar-scented Finnish sauna and soothing hot tub to the cold plunge, cold shower, and heated stone rest area in a rhythm that feels both intentional and deeply restorative. The sensory details linger: warm wood, salt and cedar, plant walls, soft light, and the hush of a space that never feels crowded or hurried. Guests often describe the experience as a secluded urban escape, especially memorable for couples, anniversaries, and date nights, though solo visitors also find it ideal for a reset. The self-guided flow gives each visit a personal, unforced quality, while the staff are consistently praised for making the arrival and orientation smooth and welcoming. Rainy evenings, crisp air, and winter steam only heighten the atmosphere, turning the open-air circuit into something cinematic and cocooning at once. With a Wellness Score of 99, it stands out as one of Vancouver’s most polished wellness experiences, welcoming up to 10 guests for an intimate, high-touch session.
“Really wonderful experience in the spa. Excellent service, nice hot bath and sauna. Having a refreshing iced electrolyte drink while sitting in the hot tub to finish the circuit was relaxing and rejuvenating. I recommend going during the day since we went at night and it was a bit hard to see in the dark. Having a private spa experience is so unique for the city, I can’t wait to be back!”
Overall, guests love Circle Wellness Granville Island as a beautifully designed, highly private, and deeply restorative urban escape that feels especially memorable for couples and solo reset sessions.

GoogleIt’s truly one of the best spas you can go to in Vancouver if you’re looking for a private session of pure relaxation. The 120-minute session was the perfect amount of time for us to fully enjoy everything.

GoogleCame here bright and early (745am) for a 2 hour session over the weekend, and it did not disappoint. I left rejuvinated and feeling great! The sessions are staggered so you don’t see anyone else while you’re doing the orientation and getting into your unit. Parking was cheap as we came before Granville Island shops were open (bonus!) but an appointment mid day could be subject to circling around waiting for a spot, and a higher rate. After entering and watching a quick orientation video, staff personally walk you to your door. You walk directly into your clean personal washroom. The floors are heated, so you’re comfortable from the second you step in. The container is as beautiful as it looks in the videos/photos online. The plant walls are thriving. The rainfall shower is peaceful, and sitting on the bench while showering is just the beginning of many zen moments you’ll have. We couldn’t hear any external sounds other than birds. The cedar tub is clean and comfortable for soaking in. The provided tea is a perfect blend. But my favorite part was the wellness pod. It was incredibly relaxing laying in the dark and taking in the sounds and air while being still. I did not immerse myself in the cold tub after as it was only 3’ outside, but stepping into it knee deep was enough. The riverbed rocks are surprisingly warm and comfortable to lay on afterwards. One thing to note is that it does require the full 20 mins to end the session if you have long hair. 2hrs was more like 1.5: first 10 = changing & showering, final 20 = showering & changing. I would only recommend the shorter session if you have short hair. All in all, I will go back again and highly recommend circle Wellness for a special treat. Well worth the value!
